The Mizuno Pro 245 is measurably faster off the face than the Mizuno Pro 243, but also easier to get airborne – thanks to a complex hollow body construction and internally suspended tungsten weight. Packaged in an incredibly elegant chassis, the Mizuno Pro 245 shows more than any other model how quickly Mizuno's Grain Flow Forged process has evolved.
- Grain Flow Forged in Hiroshima, Japan: At Mizuno's exclusive factory where Mizuno irons have been manufactured since 1968.
- Hollow body GFF 4135 Chromoly face and neck (2-8 iron): Face configuration with varying thickness and a laser-welded 431 stainless steel back for better ball speed and launch.
- Internal Tungsten Weighting (2-7): A 46g tungsten weight is key to better launch, but it is floating in the clubhead to allow the sole to flex (important for higher ball speed).
- More compact, semi-hollow short irons (9-GW): Laser-welded semi-hollow construction, GFF HD 1025E body, with a 17-4 back for a penetrating ball flight.
- Soft Copper Underlay: A micro-layer of copper under the Nickel Chrome – an extra detail to enhance the feel of our Grain Flow Forged heads.
- Harmonic Impact Technology: Applied to match the vibration patterns in the soft feel of muscle-back irons.
- Traditional blade look : Shape and proportions like a classic blade club, but larger size for better performance.
- Increased bounce angle: Increased by one degree in the long irons and 2 degrees in the shorter irons – for better contact with the ground.
